A tender love album, an album that deals with deep subjects like death and impermanence. An album about existential loneliness. This is an album that will tug on your heartstrings and connect you to humanity.
You can hear Lucy Rose, Josez Gonzalez and cinematic-esque sounds tracing lightly through her album from time to time, as well as the track state of mind in which the major sounds of the guitar take me back to the days (before I was born) when people wore flowers in their hair and owned an extensive collection of corduroys.
One of the most impressive things to me about this debut album is how natural it feels. There isn’t a forced rhyming couplet in there. Every rhyme feels just right to me. The structures make sense, but again aren’t so predictable that they detract from the emotional intent of the song.
I really recommend visiting Flo’s band camp site and purchasing the album!
